Be Racing reaches the Dakar rest day with all its options still intact!
10/01/2026
The Be Racing team has successfully overcome the demanding first week of the Dakar 2026 with flying colors. All four vehicles have reached the Riyadh bivouac in perfect condition on the rest day, in an edition marked by extreme difficulties and a high number of retirements among competitors.
Today, the team is fully focused on thorough mechanical maintenance, while the drivers take advantage of the break to recover both physically and mentally ahead of a second week that promises to be even more decisive.
Classic:
706 – J. Vélez / G. Matarucco
Undisputed leaders of the Dakar Classic H4 category. The Colombian-Argentine duo has dominated with authority and keeps all options open to fight for the final podium. They are in a prime position to make history!
707 – J. Segura / E. Segura
They have completed an impeccable first week, showcasing the enormous potential of the new competition Porsche Cayenne. With stage results among the best in their category, the Segura family is on the right path: finishing the Dakar Rally for the first time with a standout result. The dream is more alive than ever!
729 – D. Bensadoun / N. Ambriz
The Canadian driver has adapted brilliantly to the toughest rally in the world. Consistent top-5 stage results are allowing them to climb the standings day by day. Podium hopes remain fully intact, and the second week will be crucial to cement their charge.
730 – D. Bensasoun / Z. Cengiz
In their absolute Dakar debut, inexperience caught up with them due to a mechanical failure in stage 2. Thanks to the swift intervention of the assistance truck, they were able to repair in time and continue the rally. Since then, they have staged a spectacular comeback, achieving top-10 stage results. The second week will be about adding more kilometers, experience, and confidence, with a clear goal: finishing their first Dakar. Great attitude and impressive progress!
Once again, the Be Racing team proves its professionalism, resilience, and fighting spirit. With all four vehicles still in the race and very promising positions—especially in the Classic H4 category—the Dakar 2026 still has plenty of excitement ahead.
Go Be Racing!
